All you need to do is add their name and email address, choose the basic use level, and we&#8217;ll send them an invitation to join your shop. The link will be valid for 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In most companies, your employees are set up as either Owners, Managers\/Advisors, or Mechanics\/Technicians. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Owners can reach any part of the program and view anything, make changes, add or delete employees, etc.. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managers have limited access and can start, view, search and print inspections. &nbsp;They can also admin the mechanics and have access to to reports and some setup options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mechanics have limited access depending on their settings. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To add employees to your account, you&#8217;ll need their name and email address. Don&#8217;t make up a shop email address for them, as the system will send their invitation to the address you add. <strong>They will be asked to create a password. <\/strong>The system will never send anything from&nbsp;your employees, and the email address is used only for login and for communication with us during technical support. Customers will never see the email address.&nbsp;<strong>Do not use a shop address (like &#8220;tom@myautoshop.com&#8221;) unless it is one they already use on a regular basis and check often.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To add an employee,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Click on the &#8220;Settings&#8221; in the menu bar at the top of the screen, then select &#8220;Shop Users&#8221;.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"398\" height=\"300\" src=\"\/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-1.png\" alt=\"This image shows you where in the menu options to click when you need to add a user to our system\" class=\"wp-image-1053\" srcset=\"\/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-1.png 398w, \/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-1-300x226.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 398px) 100vw, 398px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Once the page opens, click the &#8220;Add User&#8221; button:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"356\" height=\"236\" src=\"\/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-2.png\" alt=\"This image shows teh button to add a new user\" class=\"wp-image-1054\" srcset=\"\/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-2.png 356w, \/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-2-300x199.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 356px) 100vw, 356px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;<strong>This will open the New User window, where you will enter their name, email, <strong>optional username,<\/strong><\/strong> and <strong>optional cell number. &nbsp;<\/strong>Take a moment to check the help fields as shown. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"843\" height=\"799\" src=\"\/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image.png\" alt=\"This image shows all the options available when adding a new user, such as name, email, username, etc. Also lets you decide the level of security and what they can have access to.\" class=\"wp-image-1742\" srcset=\"\/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image.png 843w, \/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image-300x284.png 300w, \/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image-768x728.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 843px) 100vw, 843px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We will set most of the options for each employee type, but if you want to customize them, you can always edit an existing employee to see more options.
